Lynette is a Clinical Psychologist with more than 10 years of experience in both Australia and Singapore. She completed her master's degree in clinical psychology in Perth, Western Australia, under the scholarship of Ministry of Health Holdings, and is registered with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Singapore Psychological Society.
Upon returning to Singapore, she spent 6 years working at the Institute of Mental Health, providing assessments and psychotherapy in multiple general and specialised services, including adult general psychiatry, mood and anxiety disorders, developmental psychiatry, and adult neurodevelopmental services (ANDS). She is well versed in providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults with diverse and complex needs. Beyond providing psychotherapy, she also supervises psychologists and consults for schools and social service organisations.
Lynette supports individuals navigating mood, anxiety, and emotional regulation difficulties, as well as life transitions, trauma, neurodivergence and issues around identity and self-worth, helping them know themselves more fully, connect with others more closely, and live lives fully immersed and with authenticity. Her approach to therapy veers towards Process-Oriented therapy, namely Attachment-focused and Psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
She invites curious introspection into understanding how past experiences and early relationships influence one’s relational patterns with their child, peers and partners. With increased awareness of these patterns, she guides and supports clients to explore alternate ways of relating in relationships.
As a registered facilitator of the Circle of Security Parenting (COS-P), she holds space for the feelings and struggles of Mothers and Fathers, as they come to learn more about their child’s emotional needs, and explore working towards a more secure family attachment.
